Benefits of Mangowood Products
Benefits of Mangowood Products
Mango wood as compared to other sources of timber is more sustainable.
Mango trees mature quickly reaching a height of 80 to 100 feet in around 15 years. Once the trees stop bearing fruit, they are harvested for timber & a new generation of trees is planted. Harvesting mango wood provides extra income to the farmers.
The unevenness of the grains makes this wood unique in its own way. Mango is a hardwood with dense grains and that makes it strong, but at the same time its soft enough to easily work with.
Mango wood is categorized as hardwood because of its strength, density, attractive looks and of course durability that allows it not to wear out quickly and keep their high lustre texture for many years. These capabilities have made it suitable for the production of various household objects.
Shearwater manufacturing processes allows us to enhance its durability with finishing coating that can transform Mango wood into a truly durable kind of wood which is perfect for household décor items such as bowls, serving trays, etc.
Mango’s internal structure easily repels water damage (and even more if it was polished!), which makes it a great choice for outdoor furniture.
